El Proyecto

 [re][des]arm[o] began to develop at the beginning of 2008 in order to create playful and reflective instances, through an experiential laboratory that would join our multiple disciplines derived from the arts and engineering.

Our initial idea started as a need to introduce ourselves in the materiality of perception and manipulation of formal mechanisms, in series and repeated to infinity, as an attempt to reflect a global reality, saturated of split images, which we recognize as part of our own environment. Finally, during the construction process, we were started to create a game between form and virtual space, giving birth to our own network, seen as act of interaction, creation, and awareness of new worlds.

is the result of the tension between balance and instability, between order and chaos, between security and uncertainty of that become less isolated within the global concept of the world: every movement, execution, or gesture has it’s consequence and articulates an endless stream of new actions, thus, free will is contrary to surveilled privacy and imposed uniformity, that underlie behind the powers of the web and its various control systems.

[re][des]arm[o] links concepts, languages and mechanisms as if it were a musical structure of multiple voices that add up to build the final melody.

[re][des]arm[o] is a long-winded project that had to come to an end.
However, this project is only the beginning.

[re][des]arm[o] begins its own navigation through the constellations of the virtual world, under the supervision of new bodies and cyber surveillors.
